Elder Claybrooks
Elder Claybrooks is the devoted husband to Kerri Claybrooks and a proud
father of three wonderful children: Josiah, Nia, and Zoe. Charles Claybrooks is
a native of Nashville, TN, and a graduate of Whites Creek High School. After
high school, he joined the United States Army, where he served for eight years.
Elder Charles Claybrooks acknowledged his call to the ministry and began
serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Clifton Avenue P.B. Church.
He served as the President of the Deacons and Laymen’s Union and Vice
President of the Sunday School Convention of the Big Harpeth United
Primitive Baptist Association.
In January 2013, he answered the call of God to preach the Gospel. Upon his
call to preach the gospel, he attended Liberty University and received his
Bachelor of Science degree in Religion in 2017. Being obedient to God, Charles
Claybrooks moved to Mount Zion Baptist Church under the Leadership of
Bishop Joseph W. Walker III. There he became an ordained Elder in 2019. He
served the Mount Zion Church as the leader of the Marriage Virtual Village,
teacher for Youth Church, and the Congregational leader for Elder Care. God
saw fit to allow him the opportunity to lead the congregation of the Green
Grove P.B. Church. He looks forward to what God has in store for him as he
continues to serve God and love God’s people. He aims to build families and
rebuild communities for the Kingdom of God.
